A global study plan, built around you

Your qualification. A world of options.

Find study routes that fit your results, goals and budget. See what is known, what still needs checking, and where to take the next step.

Start without an account. Save your own plan when you are ready. GGP helps you prepare; institutions make admission decisions.

What sets GGP apart

Explore globally. Check the evidence. Plan your route.

Study across borders

Explore institution and programme records across countries and different admissions systems.

Evidence in context

Review the admission evidence available for each programme. Gaps stay visible; eligibility is never presented as a guarantee.

One learner-owned plan

Keep study options, application preparation, deadlines and affordability together as you decide what to do next.

GGP helps you research and prepare. It does not submit applications or decide admissions. Programme coverage and evidence depth vary; confirm current requirements and application routes with the institution.

One learner. Several routes. One organised plan.

Compare study options, review available admissions evidence, model affordability and keep application next steps together.

Know why a match appears

Review the evidence behind each result and confirm current requirements with the institution. A GGP match is guidance, not an admission decision.

Follow the evidence

Where GGP has supporting material, programme records retain official source links, evidence dates and scope instead of hiding the basis for guidance.

Prepare, not merely browse

Build shortlists, organise documents, prepare essays and recommendations, and track deadlines and progress across different application routes.

Designed for accessible use

Keyboard navigation, screen-reader landmarks, large controls, reduced-motion support and text-first results are built into the public experience.

Find programmes

Search by institution, subject, destination and study level. Open the official source and confirm current details with the institution.

Search the catalogue

Check your match

Enter your qualification and marks to compare them with the admission rules GGP can actually encode.

Check eligibility

Plan applications

Turn a shortlist into an organised application workflow instead of keeping deadlines, documents and drafts in separate places.

Plan applications

Plan affordability

Search scholarship records and model tuition, living costs, savings and funding gaps before committing.

What GGP will not pretend

GGP does not turn missing evidence into a guarantee. “Unknown” remains unknown, meeting a published minimum is not an offer, and only an institution can confirm receipt or admission.

Programme eligibility match

GGP distinguishes machine-checked rules from discovery-only results. Meeting a minimum is not an admission guarantee.

School subject results (NSC / IEB / A-Level)

Enter each subject and result in separate fields. For NSC / IEB, use an achievement level from 1 to 7 or a percentage. For A-Level systems, use a grade from A* to E or a percentage from 40 to 100. Add up to 30 subjects.

One subject row ready.

ApplySA 3.0 — score estimates to programme search

Calculate separate UP APS, Wits APS and UCT FPS estimates, then carry your entered NSC results into GGP’s South African programme search without retyping them. Score estimates remain separate from programme eligibility.

Enter exact percentages for UCT. NSC levels 1–7 are accepted for UP and Wits; a Wits level 7 may produce a score range. UP uses six recognised subjects excluding Life Orientation; Wits uses the best seven including Life Orientation. UCT uses English plus the next five eligible subjects, excluding Life Orientation, AP Mathematics, AP English and marks below 40%. Programme-specific subject requirements are not applied to this general score estimate.

Enter subject names and results above, then calculate.

ApplySA calculates score estimates only. Minimums, required subjects, selection rules and application cycles vary by programme and intake.

Compare a mark using GGP’s stored grade scales

This gives a comparison band only. It is not credential equivalence and does not replace an institution’s admissions rules.

Explore programmes and institutions

Results require a matching mention extracted from an institution source. This is not a complete syllabus or an admission decision.

Cross-border application plan

Postgraduate application routes

Browse 85 institution-level postgraduate application route pages across 27 countries. The source artefact marks these links as reviewed on 17 September 2026. This is route discovery, not a programme catalogue or an admission decision; confirm current requirements, dates and fees with the institution.

Levels inferred from programme titles are estimates; confirm with the institution. They are not verified admissions evidence.

    Direct opportunities

An eligibility signal is guidance, not an admission offer. GGP labels an offer as direct only when an institution supplies it.

    Academic progression planner

Map a common route from your current qualification to a target level. This is planning guidance; the institution’s published entry rules take precedence.

Select a destination and applicant type for route guidance.

You complete and submit applications yourself. GGP does not sign in, submit applications, or store portal passwords, one-time codes or multi-factor authentication details. A country route does not establish programme eligibility. This is GGP route guidance; check the institution’s official instructions for your intake.

    Funding and budget

    South Africa · cost guide

Plan for tuition, living costs and funding separately

There is no single South African tuition price. Fees depend on the institution, programme, study year and your applicant or fee category. Use the official fee schedule for the exact programme before deciding or paying.

    Johannesburg monthly living-cost guidance

Wits advises international students to budget about R8,000–R15,000 per month for living costs in Johannesburg. Its figures are planning guidance, not a quote or a national average.

    • Shared off-campus accommodation: R3,000–R6,500 per month.
    • Private one-bedroom accommodation: R6,000–R9,000 per month.
    • Groceries for home cooking: R2,000–R3,000 per month.
    • Public transport: R500–R1,000 per month.
    • Books, printing, stationery and data: R500–R1,000 per month.

These categories do not cover every learner’s costs. Accommodation, meals, transport and personal circumstances change the total. Check the official Wits Johannesburg living-cost guidance (opens in a new tab).

Examples of university fees and payment requirements

    NSFAS university allowances

NSFAS lists these university bursary amounts and conditions. They are funding allowances for eligible funded students, not estimates of what every student will spend:

    • Living allowance: R15,000 per year.
    • Books: R5,200 per year.
    • Transport: up to R7,500 per year for eligible students living within 40 km of the institution.
    • Personal care: R2,900 per year for students in catered residences.
    • Accommodation: based on actual university charges; approved private accommodation is capped at university residence costs.

Check the current NSFAS rules and your award notice at the official NSFAS bursary page (opens in a new tab). Source pages checked 19 October 2026; fees and allowances can change.

    South Africa · private accommodation

    Find private student accommodation

Compare private residences and room listings near your institution. GGP is providing directory links, not endorsing a landlord or guaranteeing a room. Confirm the exact address, university approval, NSFAS eligibility for your award, accessibility, contract, deposit, utilities, transport and availability directly before paying.

    Respublica: advertised 2027 starting rates

As displayed on the provider’s 2027 rates page on 19 October 2026; these are starting prices, not a quote or a guarantee of availability. Room type, fees and included services differ. Confirm the full cost with the provider.

    • Paton House, Pietermaritzburg: from R4,423 per month.
    • West City, Pretoria: from R5,400 per month.
    • Princeton Village, Midrand: from R5,550 per month.
    • Urban Nest, Eastwood Village and Hatfield Square, Pretoria: from R5,800 per month.
    • Yale Village, The Fields and Saratoga Village, Johannesburg: from R5,800 per month.
    • Lincoln House, Bloemfontein: from R6,990 per month.

Browse Respublica residences and current rates (opens in a new tab).

    Other provider and accommodation searches

Private accommodation is not automatically NSFAS-funded or university-approved. Confirm approval for the specific property, institution and funding year before signing a lease.

    Medical aid for international students

Students applying for a South African study visa generally need proof of membership in a medical scheme registered in South Africa for the required period. Overseas health insurance or travel insurance on its own may not meet this requirement. Check the current checklist with the South African mission handling your application and your institution’s international office.

UCT’s 2026–2027 exchange guide names CompCare and Momentum Medical Scheme as options for its students. These are examples to investigate, not an endorsement or guarantee that a particular plan will be accepted by every institution or visa office.

Before joining, confirm that the specific scheme is currently registered and open to new members, that the selected option meets your institution’s requirements, and that the cover dates span the required study period. Request the membership confirmation or certificate—not only an application receipt or payment proof. Benefits, prices and acceptance rules can change.

    Languages recorded for a country

Look up languages in GGP’s country records. This lists language information; it does not translate the app.

    Tuition and student accommodation

Compare sourced tuition and accommodation prices by academic year. Each result keeps its published period, such as per semester or per year. Estimates are not personal fee quotes; confirm the current amount with the institution.

Search covers institutions with published records in GGP. Check the linked official source for current fees and accommodation availability.

Scholarship, tuition and accommodation source directory

Browse provider and official source pages by country. A directory link does not mean a scholarship is open, a fee is current, or accommodation is available. Check the provider’s own page before applying or booking.

    Scholarships

GGP ranks possible matches using recorded nationality and field scopes. It does not decide eligibility; check the official award conditions.
